This accessibility statement is a translation of the original Finnish version.

Accessibility Status

Hyte.fi partially meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level A and AA requirements. This accessibility statement outlines the accessibility issues detected on the website. The statement was prepared on 8 May 2024 and updated on 23 May 2025. We have conducted the accessibility assessment ourselves.

Non‑Accessible Content

Non-compliance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019)

• Language of the website: The programmatically defined language of the site does not always match the actual language of the content.

• Contrast: Some text and text over backgrounds do not have sufficient contrast. The meaning of some non-textual elements or logos may also be difficult to distinguish from the background.

• Content structure: The site contains elements that do not have a programmatically determinable name. Some content is not programmatically nested according to requirements.

• Event calendar: The site’s event calendar—where articles and blog posts are also listed—does not meet accessibility requirements. The focus indicator is not always visible, or the focus order is illogical. The focus does not always move to the next component, making the calendar difficult to navigate. When browsing articles, new articles appear automatically without notification, and the user cannot stop the automation. Link cards leading to different articles and events contain multiple nested or empty links whose purpose is not always clear.

• Navigation: Some recurring content cannot be skipped using skip links—for example, in the event calendar. The site contains some empty links whose purpose is not clearly conveyed, again particularly in the event calendar. Not all buttons on the site are operable with a keyboard.

Disproportionate Burden

We apply an exemption based on disproportionate burden for some materials available on the site that are in PDF format. For example, Hyte’s annual reports are currently not available in an accessible format.

Content Not Covered by Applicable Legislation

The site contains content that is not covered by the accessibility requirements. Such content includes:

• Files published before 23 September 2018
• Video or audio recordings published before 23 September 2020
