Lähellä.fi and the help app Commu have started collaborating. The volunteer tasks published on Lähellä.fi are now also visible on Commu. Lähellä.fi is a service that brings organizations’ announcements to various event calendars and official services. Commu is a mobile application that helps associations find new volunteers and those in need of help.
With this collaboration, the volunteer tasks published on Lähellä.fi are automatically visible on Commu as well. NGOs gain more widespread visibility for their activities with less effort, as Lähellä.fi announcements now also reach Commu users: Commu already has nearly 100,000 registered users.
Commu’s search function is based on a map feature, so the volunteering announcements that have set a defined location on Lähellä.fi will be transferred to Commu.

- Register your organization on Lähellä.fi.
- In addition to organizational information, add announcements to Lähellä.fi. Activity announcements are utilized not only by Commu but also on various event calendars – organizational information is not transmitted to other services on its own.
- Make sure that your announcement has an informative and attractive title and sufficient description. The readers of your announcement may not be familiar with your activities, and the goal of your announcement is to raise interest and inspire them to join.
