New prices of Citizen activity centre Kansalaistoiminnankeskus

Notification 26.1.2024

Dear organization, the pricing and discounting of the Citizen activity centre Kansalaistoiminnankeskus facility services is undergoing a revision. The new pricing model aims to support and encourage organizations to host activities that are open to everyone, thereby enhancing the opportunities for community involvement among the residents.

The pricing model will be effective for reservations made after 1.2.2024.

The regular price for reserved meeting rooms (€20/hour) will remain unchanged despite the general increase in costs.

Open activities organized for residents will be free of charge in all our meeting spaces.

Organizing open activities is crucial for promoting civic engagement and building a sense of community. Henceforth, open activities for residents will be free of charge in all our meeting facilities. Open activities refer to events that anyone can participate in at any time.

Closed activities, such as internal meetings, meetings with stakeholders, and board meetings, will remain chargeable, as before. Organizations renting office room from the Kansalaistoiminnankeskus will enjoy free closed meetings.

Key changes in the new pricing model:

HyTe association member organizations

  • Open activities targeting residents: 100% discount
  • Closed activities, e.g., internal meetings and board meetings: 70% discount (membership benefit)

Other HyTe organizations (health, well-being, sports, cultural organizations)

  • Open activities targeting residents: 100% discount
  • Closed activities, e.g., internal events, meetings, or board meetings: No discount from the regular price

What does an organization need to do to use the meeting facilities of Kansalaistoiminnankeskus in 2024?

  1. Apply for facility usage rights through the online form or visit the reception.
  2. We process the facility usage applications and provide a discount code for the regular price for 2024 to those eligible for discounts.
  3. Reserve (and pay for) the space via the Tilapankki.fi service.
  4. Publish an activity notice for open activities on the Lähellä.fi service well in advance of the event or activity. HyTe association utilizes Lähellä.fi activity notices for local marketing in Tapiola, providing free support for reaching residents. Assistance for creating activity notices is available on Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm in our Digital Café.
  5. Record participant numbers after the event. We have learned that organizations across Uusimaa have had to give up their facilities. HyTe association strives to do everything possible to continue offering affordable meeting facilities for organizations. We provide more detailed reports to funders about the activities and visitor numbers at the Kansalaistoiminnankeskus to inform them about the usefulness of the facilities in supporting community involvement. Organizations will also benefit from the collected data. The link to the electronic statistical form can be found in every booking confirmation and meeting facilities.

We appreciate your participation in the development of the Kansalaistoiminnankeskus!

Note: We will reward the organization that organizes the most open activities in 2024 at the end of the year.
